First there is a recall on this for the 2007 Pontiac G6. Check to see if you need the recall. It should be free. Tell them only the recall. Mine had an extended warranty and they ended up replacing the whole transmission (which I do not believe was the problem but the rebuilt transmission had a three year warranty and 100,000 miles).
