But in reality, I’ve listened to multiple iterations of them from multiple companies, the best ones and the most technical ones were always the Rockna Wavedream series and the MSB Technologies DACs.

From my point of view, the company became known for its 4.498-USD Terminator DAC which was hailed by reviewers as anywhere between ridiculously good and the best there is. Detail and resolution were not forensic but had a natural air. This R2R DAC definitely shows the advantages of resistor to resisitor technology over proprietry chips.
